What was the movie about?
This is the original Tron movie. The movie is about this guy named Flynn and this other guy stole his ideas for a video game that made the other guy a lot of money even though Flynn made the video game. Flynn accidentally gets sucked into a security program that sends him into the world of Tron. He has to defeat the master control program to get out of the machine.

What I thought about the movie.
The movie looks weird compared to regular T.V. because they used special effects called backlighting. I liked this movie because when he went into Tron, it looked like a video game. My favorite thing in the movie were the identity disks. These disks store information, like a disk on a computer, and they could light up and be used as a throwing frisbee weapon. The story was a little hard to follow and there were way too many characters for a kid my age to keep track of. But the scenes were entertaining to watch.

What I learned about making films.
I learned about backlighting which gives the characters their unusual look. An explanation can be found in the Special Features section of the DVD.

Why I think other kids should see this film.
I think other kids should see this movie because the outfits are very glow-y and look cool. I enjoyed the identity disks, the lightcycles, the tanks, and the recognizers. If you like strategy, you'll like how the lightcycles strategize how to smash the enemy into the light walls.

I didn't see this at the movies, but now that I have a flat screen TV, I will rent it when it comes out. What do you think about rating films by stars? What do yours mean?
